1. To gain mixed natural and cultural heritage by UNESCO
Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex is praised to be the first site in Vietnam to gain UNESCO mixed natural and cultural heritage world recognition. As schedule, there will be three-day celebration to honor the event, including the award presentation ceremony, taking place on January 22-24 at Bai Dinh Pagoda, according to the Ninh Binh provincial People’s Committee.
Spreading over 12,000 hectares, Trang An complex is a symbol of the magic, mystery and majesty of the natural world.
2. To treasure most caves in Vietnam
Trang An is regarded as to have the most caves throughout the country as it possess 48 caves, each of which with different name is attached to a story such as Sinh, Dia Linh, Ba Giot, Nau Ruou and Quy Hau.
The longest cave in Trang An is 2km. Every cave connects to each other, forming a circle, which offers a round-boat trip for tourists.
3. To have the most unique tree in Vietnam
The 1,000-year-old Cay Thi is the most unique tree in Vietnam. It’s located in in Khong temple in Trang An Complex. To reach the temple, tourist must sail by boat through 13 majestic caves spreading over 13 km.
4. To own the most spectacular bird sanctuary
Spanning an area of 334.2 hectares, the Thung Nham bird sanctuary is an ideal place for those who wish to be close to nature. It comprises about 46 kinds of birds; some of them are listed in the Red Book of endangered species.
